The Land of Seasonal Waterfalls

It can be very easily stated that Bhandardara is the land of waterfalls, but only at its best in monsoon. Fed and irrigated by the Pravara river, it has a lot of rocky terrains which results in a lot of waterfalls. A lot of them are very small with very little height thus gaining not so much popularity, but others such as The Randha falls and the famous Umbrella falls, a lot of them have gained popularity. Umbrella falls result from the released water from Wilson Dam. These are not perennial, but in Monsoon they are very much at par with any other waterfall of the country. It makes for a beautiful, relaxing getaway, especially in Monsoons if you want to feel every bit of Bhandardara.

Redefined essence of Maharashtra

There are a lot of places in Maharashtra which have a very different vibe from the rest of the state, Bhandardara being one of them. A lot of tourist places in Maharashtra are assumed to be beach towns stripped off of other natural wonders, which this quaint little town defies. But that doesn't mean it is deprived of other Marathi culture and its amazing food. There are a lot of eateries around every corner of the town which provide authentic Marathi dishes. Overall, it makes for a perfect weekend getaway with lots of amazing food!
