Gokul Chand Temple

#1 of 9 things to do in Bankura

Found just a couple of kilometre from the terracotta temples of Bishnupur, Gokulchand Temple is the most stupendous of a couple of Bengal stone temples. The 64 feet high five pinnacled temple encompassed by a high divider, giving the impression of a stronghold as opposed to a temple. The entire temple complex is encompassed by a high divider, giving it the vibe of fortification instead of a temple. The door is in the type of triple angled passageway since it has verandahs on three sides. The Idol of Lord Krishna was there which has long ways back moved to Bishnupur temple and is just brought back on the event of Holi and Rash.
