This tropical hill station is a year-round tourist destination, with mild summer, cool winter and lush green monsoon.
Monsoon starts from June and extends to September. This time of the year, Amboli becomes most lively and lush green. The seasonal streams and waterfalls emerge into full form and strength attracting both local and international tourists. The winter begins by December and extends to February when the temperature can drop down to 10-degrees Celsius. Summer here is mild compared to other tropical regions, as the place is in higher altitudes. March to May is the least preferred time of the year as the greenery becomes minimal. The temperature can range from 22 to 40 degrees.
Drink & Dine...
The cuisine in Amboli is more leaning to the Malvan style and the Konkan influence from Goa. The dishes are predominantly non-vegetarian, but vegetarian delicacies are also present. Konkani fish curries, Amboli Biriyani, Kokum fruit juice are some of the local delicacies worth trying. Dishes rich with coconut milk are also part of their cuisine.
