Once upon a time, Adilabad was the under the administration centre of several exceptional dynasties including Mauryas, Chalukyas, Bahmanis and Mughals. Today Adilabad is adorned with their impressive artefacts that these marvellous dynasties have bequeathed behind. Apart from a surplus of temples and mosques, this city is also decorated with flora and fauna camouflaged by a band of impenetrable jungles. Recognized as 'City of Cotton' owing to its flourishing commerce of cotton, Adilabad is said to have received its title after Adil Shahi, a ruler of Bijapur in the Medieval era. Formerly recognised as Edulapuram, this spot just like a paradise for the nature admirers and history buffs.

Adilabad is well connected with Hyderabad and other major cities in Telangana. Adilabad has excellent connectivity with major motorable roadways. It also has a railway station which has good connectivity.

Hyderabad is the nearest an international airport which welcomes flight from all significant towns of India as well as nations. Taxis are easily available outside the airport.

Adilabad Itinerary


DAY 1: Reach Adilabad a day before and check into a hotel. Start the day early in the morning by visiting Kunthala waterfalls. After that head towards Pochera Waterfalls. After grabbing some lunch, head towards the Kawal Wildlife Sanctuary. In the evening visit the Mahatma Gandhi Park. Later in the evening grab some goodies for your loves ones from the markets. Rest for the night at respective hotels. 

DAY 2: Start the day by visiting the famous Gudem Satyanarayan Swamy temple. Later head towards the Jainath temple and get lost in the beauty of Jain architecture. After that visit Pranahita Wildlife Sanctuary. In the evening visit the St. Joseph Church. Leave for respective homes the next morning.
