The end of September marks the beginning of the festivities, it is when Durga Puja approaches in the state of West Bengal and Navaratri is celebrated in the entire country. Rajasthan, the land of kings and palaces, is a very good place to be visited in September as the winters are extremely cold and the summers are too hot to go for traveling. You can enjoy the camel safari and the jeep safari on the miles and miles of the desert which are specifically organized during the sunset and the sunrise. The jeep safaris at the time of the sunrise are quite adventurous and you can also enjoy the morning tea at the Thar Desert if you are lucky enough to find a small shack.

Route: Jaisalmer is well connected through trains to most of the cities. It connects the major cities of Rajasthan to other cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Jodhpur, Jaipur, etc. The city has an airport of its own that connects it to cities like Delhi, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Mumbai, and Surat. The place is also well connected by roads.

Ladakh

Another place you can visit during September is Ladakh. At this time the mountains appear to be most beautiful and it is a treat for the eyes. The best way to reach the place is, however, to hire a cab from New Jalpaiguri Railway Station. The place also has very good road connectivity and it can also be reached by road.
